Local Numbers (DID)

Local presence in every US market

Buy local direct inward dial numbers in the cities your customers actually live in. A familiar area code lifts answer rates dramatically compared with an unknown out-of-state number — and every number provisions from the same portal in minutes.

All 50 states + DC Genuine geographic numbers in hundreds of local rate centres, not routed workarounds.
Instant activation Most numbers are live within minutes of ordering, with no minimum term.
Route anywhere Point a number at SIP, PBX, IVR, dialer or PSTN forwarding — change it any time.
Overview

How Local Numbers (DID) works

VoipXDialer holds direct relationships with tier-1 US carriers and rate-centre aggregators. That means genuine local numbers, clean CLI presentation and predictable carrier handling rather than grey routes that get disconnected without warning.

Numbers are yours to route however you like: into a hosted PBX extension, an IVR, a dialer campaign as caller ID, a SIP trunk you already own, or a plain forwarding destination on a mobile. Porting an existing range in is supported in most markets, and bulk ordering through the API makes provisioning hundreds of numbers a single request.

We moved 140 agents off an on-premise dialer in under three weeks. Talk time per agent went up by roughly 40% in the first month, and we finally stopped losing mornings to hardware faults.
Daniel Okafor Head of Contact Centre, Meridian Financial Services
Local DIDs across twenty-two states from one portal, one invoice and one support contact. Our answer rates climbed the moment we switched to matched area codes in each market.

Questions

Local Numbers (DID) FAQs

The majority of DIDs activate within minutes of ordering. Numbers in regulated markets that require proof of local address typically take one to five business days.

It depends on the country. Many markets have no requirement at all; others require proof of a local presence. The portal flags the requirement before you order, and our team helps you satisfy it.

Yes, porting is supported in most markets. Send us the number ranges and current provider details and we will confirm feasibility and timescales.

Yes. Local DIDs are commonly used as outbound caller ID to match the region you are dialing, which measurably improves answer rates.

Channels are configurable per number, or you can share a pooled allocation across your whole estate — useful when campaigns peak at different times.
